Every lead has one personal link. Whether you used Send links (variable echo_link) or the CSV (column space_url), it is the same link.
Example email
Hi {{firstName}},
I put a few ideas together for {{companyName}}, specific to how your team runs outbound:
{{echo_link}}
Worth a conversation?Keep the link on its own line or in a short sentence. A plain link usually performs better than a button in cold email.
Per tool
| Tool | Variable | Fallback if empty |
|---|---|---|
| Lemlist | {{echo_link}} | Use a condition block around the line. |
| Instantly | {{echo_link}} (case-sensitive) | Placeholder values or a Liquid {% if %} block. |
| Smartlead | {{echo_link}} | {{#if echo_link}}...{{else}}...{{/if}} |
| Sendkit | Check the template preview: custom fields are stored as custom_echo_link | IF / ELSE block. |
| Clay | The space_url column from the CSV, or your own column | Clay formula. |
| Any other tool | Import the CSV and map space_url to a custom field | Your tool's fallback. |
Check before you send
- Send yourself a test email from the sequencer.
- Click the link. You should land on the prospect's personal page.
- Your own visit from the preview inside Echo never counts. A real click from a test email does, so use a test lead.
Timing
Write the links before the sequence reaches the step that uses them. If you add leads to the campaign later, run Send links again: links already written are simply written again.
