Send links writes each lead's space link into a variable on that same lead in your sequencer or CRM, so your sequence can use {{echo_link}}. Nothing is sent to anyone. Running it again only updates the links.
Before you start
- Connect the tool in Integrations.
- Your leads need an
emailcolumn. Echo finds each lead in your tool by the tool's own id (when you imported from that tool) or by email. - Send links is on the Pro and Scale plans. On Free, use Download CSV.
Write the links
- Open the campaign and click Send links.
- Under Where the leads are, pick a suggested list. Echo suggests the lists your leads were imported from, with how many came from each. Or choose Another list or campaign and pick a tool and list.
- Keep the Variable name
echo_link, or change it (letters, numbers and underscores, starting with a letter). - Click Write links. Progress shows as it runs, and a summary at the end: N written, M not in the list, K failed.
Leads that are not in the chosen list are skipped and counted as not in the list. If your key is rejected, the run stops and asks you to reconnect it.
What it does in each tool
| Tool | Where the link goes | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Lemlist | A lead variable on each lead in the campaign | Use {{echo_link}} in the sequence. |
| Instantly (Beta) | A custom variable on each lead | Echo also registers the variable on the campaign. Your other variables are kept. |
| Smartlead (Beta) | A custom field on each lead | Updates the lead everywhere it appears in Smartlead. |
| Sendkit | A custom field on each lead | Your other custom fields are kept. |
| Attio | A text attribute Echo link on each person | Created once if it does not exist. |
| Clay | Not written back | Use the CSV, or have Clay call Echo. See Clay. |
Then use the variable
Add {{echo_link}} to your email template. See Using the link in your sequence for each tool's syntax and fallbacks.
