| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Your team's account. Holds your keys, leads, designs, campaigns and settings. |
| Lead | One prospect inside a campaign, with their own personal space and reading history. |
| Lead group | A named list of people. Every import creates one. Groups can be merged, filtered and used in campaigns. |
| Design | The page template. One design is shared by every lead in a campaign; each lead gets their own filled version. |
| Slot | A part of the design that changes per lead: a field from your table, an AI-written part, or a choice between options. |
| Data fields | The columns a design expects, such as first_name, company or industry. |
| Tracked section | A part of the page Echo measures reading time for, such as Intro, Proof or Pricing. |
| Space | The personal page a prospect opens. One per lead. Also called a personal space. |
| Campaign | A design plus a list of leads. Publishing it creates one space per lead. |
| Space link | The URL of a space, on your own domain (for example go.yourcompany.com/k3x9p2). Exported as space_url, written into your sequencer as {{echo_link}} by default. |
| Domain | Your subdomain that serves every space. Required before publishing. See Your domain. |
| Signal | Something a prospect did that is worth knowing: opened, engaged, came back, clicked to book, booked, forwarded. |
| Heat score | A 0 to 100 score of how engaged a lead is, based on time, returns, clicks, forwards and sections read. |
| BYOK | Bring your own key. All AI runs on your OpenAI or Anthropic key, at your provider's price. |
| API key | A workspace key (echo_sk_...) for the MCP server and REST API. Not the same as your AI key. |

Until your first real campaign exists, the Dashboard, Leads and Campaigns pages show sample data with a SAMPLE DATA tag, so you can see what Echo looks like with activity. Click the tag to hide it. Bring it back from your profile menu with Show sample data.
