Leads

Heat score and statuses

How Echo scores engagement from 0 to 100, and how a lead moves from Not opened to Booked.

Heat score

The heat score adds up five signals, each capped so no single one dominates:

SignalUp toFull marks at
Reading time40 points5 minutes in total
Return visits15 points5 visits
Clicks (booking clicks count double)20 points4 clicks
Extra browsers (possible forwards)15 points2 extra browsers
Sections read (3 seconds or more each)10 points5 sections

A lead with no human visit scores 0. A booked lead scores 100. Leads at 75 or above count as high intent and appear in the High intent tab and the N hot badge.

Lead statuses

A lead's status only ever moves forward.

StatusSet when
Not openedThe space has not been opened by a person yet.
OpenedThe first human visit.
EngagedAny click, a booking click, or 20 seconds or more on one section.
BookedA meeting is confirmed by Cal.com or Calendly, matched by the lead's email. A booking click alone does not mark a lead Booked.

What counts as a human visit

Echo ignores email security scanners, link checkers and headless browsers, and only counts a visit after real activity: moving the pointer, scrolling, typing or touching. Reading time only counts while the tab is visible, the section is at least half on screen, and the reader was active in the last 30 seconds. See What prospects see.

Forwards

A forward is counted when a new browser opens a space that someone else already read. It means the link travelled, usually to a colleague. It is a strong buying signal, but it counts browsers, not verified people: the same person on a second device can look like a forward.
