Add a key
- Go to Settings, AI keys.
- Choose OpenAI or Anthropic and paste the key.
- Click Add key. Echo checks it with the provider before saving.
You can have one key per provider. The first key becomes the default; use Make default to switch. Remove deletes a key. Only admins can add or remove keys.
Where your key is used

How your key is protected
- Encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it is stored.
- Used only on Echo's servers; never sent to the browser.
- After saving, only the last four characters are ever shown.
